AP News We have a special guest speaker lined up for our AGM on November 9th  :-) Carol Dersch is recently retired from Lake Superior Provincial Park, where she worked as Park Naturalist. She has had the opportunity to visit Michipicoten Island for pleasure and also to participate in some of the wildlife monitoring and field work. The Wild Landscape of Michipicoten Island Remote and rugged, Michipicoten Island features some unique geology, vegetation and wildlife. The presentation will look at the features of the island and some of the similarities and differences between Michipicoten Island and the Slate Islands. It will also touch on the new predator-prey dynamic, with the colonization of wolves in 2014, and some of the research and monitoring being undertaken on the island. The meeting will be held in the Library at W.C. Eaket Secondary School in Blind River at 7 p.m. There is no charge for this event and everyone is welcome! 2. Combined Coureur de bois & Algoma P
