July 11, 2026, Trip Report for Endikai Lake Day Paddle

Endikai Lake stayed glassy all day as 15 paddlers and one dog set out for a day paddle. The group travelled up the east side of the lake and stopped at a beach for lunch. Fresh moose tracks were spotted along the shoreline, and most of the group later took advantage of the warm, calm water for a swim.

After lunch, the group voted to explore the north end of the lake, where the West Little White River flows in. Along the way, we passed two paddlers’ spouses fishing from a canoe near the cliffs beyond the beach, catching and releasing fish as we went by.

We returned along the west shore, spotting fish near the lake outlet as we made our way back to the launch. Curious bass swam in close as we stepped into the water.

The total trip distance was a little over 12 km.
